Across TCGA patient cohorts, PFAS mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 42 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PFAS-associated genes across cancer lineages are MEK1, Shc_pY317, and 4E-BP1. Each is linked with PFAS in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PFAS-to-partner and partner-to-PFAS results are reported.
