Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PEX3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PEX3 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher PEX3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PEX3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, LGG, and LIHC are the cancer types where PEX3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
