Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PEX26 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PEX26 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PEX26 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PEX26 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and ESCA are the cancer types where PEX26 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
