PEBP4

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PEBP4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PEBP4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PEBP4 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PEBP4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, BLCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where PEBP4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
