PDHB

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDHB RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PDHB’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PDHB RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PDHB is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, HNSC, and THCA are the cancer types where PDHB tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
