Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDE6H RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PDE6H’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where PDE6H RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PDE6H is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

PRAD, KICH, and LUSC are the cancer types where PDE6H tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
