PDE4D

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDE4D RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PDE4D’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where PDE4D RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PDE4D is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where PDE4D tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
