Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDCL3P4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PDCL3P4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where PDCL3P4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PDCL3P4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where PDCL3P4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
