Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDCD6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PDCD6 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher PDCD6 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PDCD6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and SCLC show a favorable association.
UVM, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where PDCD6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
