Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCSK5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCSK5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PCSK5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCSK5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and STAD show a favorable association.

UCEC, STAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where PCSK5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
