Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCSK1N RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PCSK1N data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher PCSK1N RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCSK1N expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and PAAD show a favorable association.
UCS, KIRC, and PAAD are the cancer types where PCSK1N RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
