Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCED1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PCED1A data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher PCED1A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCED1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
COAD, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where PCED1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
