Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCDHGC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCDHGC5 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher PCDHGC5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCDHGC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
ESCA, SKCM, and BLCA are the cancer types where PCDHGC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
