Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCDHB11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PCDHB11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where PCDHB11 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PCDHB11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, BRCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where PCDHB11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
