Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCDHA5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PCDHA5 data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PCDHA5 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCDHA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and LGG show a favorable association.
LUSC, UVM, and THCA are the cancer types where PCDHA5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
