Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCDH17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PCDH17 data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher PCDH17 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCDH17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and UVM are the cancer types where PCDH17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
