Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCBD1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCBD1 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PCBD1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCBD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where PCBD1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
