Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PARVB RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PARVB’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PARVB RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PARVB is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KICH, and COAD are the cancer types where PARVB tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
