Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PARP6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PARP6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PARP6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PARP6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PARP6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
