Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PARD6G RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PARD6G’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where PARD6G RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PARD6G is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where PARD6G tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
