Across TCGA cell cohorts, PAPOLG mutation is significantly associated with the mutation status of many other genes, with 5,080 significant associations in total. LARGE_INTESTINE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PAPOLG-associated genes across cancer lineages are PARP1, SEC16B, and CCDC33. Each is linked with PAPOLG in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PAPOLG-to-partner and partner-to-PAPOLG results are reported.
