Across TCGA patient cohorts, PAOX mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,590 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PAOX-associated genes across cancer lineages are RPSAP37, RNA5SP469, and RNY4P23. Each is linked with PAOX in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PAOX-to-partner and partner-to-PAOX results are reported.
