Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PANX3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PANX3 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where higher PANX3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PANX3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
READ and UCEC are the cancer types where PANX3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
