Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PANX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PANX2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PANX2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PANX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
LUSC, STAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where PANX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
