PAK4

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAK4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PAK4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where PAK4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PAK4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where PAK4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
