Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAK1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PAK1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PAK1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PAK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
SKCM and STAD are the cancer types where PAK1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
