Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OXT RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OXT data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher OXT RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OXT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and UCS show a favorable association.
KIRP, OV, and SCLC are the cancer types where OXT RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
