Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OTUD6A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OTUD6A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OTUD6A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OTUD6A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where OTUD6A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
