Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OTOL1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OTOL1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher OTOL1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OTOL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and SKCM show a favorable association.
THCA, LUSC, and READ are the cancer types where OTOL1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
