Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OTOL1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OTOL1 data layer compared with 15 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher OTOL1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OTOL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, ESCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where OTOL1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
