Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OSTCP5 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OSTCP5’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where OSTCP5 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OSTCP5 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where OSTCP5 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
