Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OSBPL7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OSBPL7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where OSBPL7 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OSBPL7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where OSBPL7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
