Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ORM2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ORM2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where ORM2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ORM2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ORM2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
