Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR9S24P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR9S24P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR9S24P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR9S24P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA are the cancer types where OR9S24P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
