Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR9K1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR9K1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where OR9K1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR9K1P is over-expressed in tumor.
HNSC, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where OR9K1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
