Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8U1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OR8U1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher OR8U1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR8U1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA and KIRC are the cancer types where OR8U1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
