Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8K1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OR8K1 data layer compared with 8 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher OR8K1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR8K1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

ESCA, READ, and CESC are the cancer types where OR8K1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
