Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8B8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR8B8 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher OR8B8 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR8B8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and BLCA show a favorable association.

STAD, SCLC, and DLBC are the cancer types where OR8B8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
