Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OR8A1 data layer compared with 12 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher OR8A1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR8A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
ACC, LIHC, and SARC are the cancer types where OR8A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
