Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E53P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E53P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where OR7E53P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E53P is over-expressed in tumor.
ESCA are the cancer types where OR7E53P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
