Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E122P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E122P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR7E122P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E122P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where OR7E122P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
