Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E121P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E121P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR7E121P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E121P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC and UCEC are the cancer types where OR7E121P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
