Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E109P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E109P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR7E109P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E109P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KIRP, and THCA are the cancer types where OR7E109P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
