Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E106P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E106P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where OR7E106P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E106P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC and BRCA are the cancer types where OR7E106P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
