Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E101P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E101P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR7E101P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E101P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA and BLCA are the cancer types where OR7E101P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
