Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7A19P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7A19P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where OR7A19P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7A19P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, PRAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where OR7A19P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
