Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7A15P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7A15P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where OR7A15P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7A15P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA are the cancer types where OR7A15P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
