Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR6L1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR6L1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where OR6L1P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR6L1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL are the cancer types where OR6L1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
