Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR6D1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR6D1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR6D1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR6D1P is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC and PRAD are the cancer types where OR6D1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
