Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR5B3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR5B3 data layer compared with 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher OR5B3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR5B3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and COAD show a favorable association.
SCLC, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where OR5B3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
